Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and co-organized by the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Jiangsu Province, the SmartHK Hong Kong-Soviet High Quality Development Cooperation Conference was held on August 28, 2024, at the Shangri-La Hotel, Nanjing. As one of the representative enterprises of Hong Kong's innovation and technology sector, LaSense was invited to participate in the conference and gained wide attention from many participating enterprises, government departments and the upstream and downstream industrial chain in the Yangtze River Delta.

Under the theme of Innovation, Cooperation, Innovation and Cooperation to Promote High Quality Development, the SmartHK Conference invited about 40 influential speakers from business and academia to focus on the topics of Financial Services, Technology and Innovation, Green and Sustainable Development and Cultural and Creative Empowerment, and to offer advice and suggestions on promoting the high-quality development of Hong Kong-Soviet cooperation. This year's SmartHK Hong Kong-Soviet Cooperation Conference on Quality Development attracted over 2,000 participants. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Chen Maobo, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong SAR Government, Mr. Fang Wei, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, and Dr. Lin Jianyue, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), were present as guests of honor and delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.

“Combining the strengths of scientific research in Jiangsu and Hong Kong opens a new chapter of innovation cooperation.” Mr. Chen Maobo said that Jiangsu has a strong capacity for innovation, and several leading AI unicorn companies also originate from Jiangsu. And Hong Kong is strong in basic research and development, “We are further promoting close cooperation among the government, industry, academia and research institutes, advancing new industrialization, and making all-out efforts in the fields of biomedicine, artificial intelligence and intelligent manufacturing, and these fields are highly compatible with the layout of Jiangsu's key industrial development.”

At the conference site, LaSense displayed its flagship product in the field of eco-environmental protection, the High-Precision Greenhouse Gas Analyzer MT01. On behalf of the company, LaSense's Assistant President, Ms. Wei, was invited to participate in the Smart+ Startups Proposal activity, sharing the development history of LaSense as a classic case of the transformation of achievements of university industry, academia, and research and sharing the project results of Laser Spectrum Driven New Energy Digitization around the theme of green and sustainable development, attracting the attention of many related enterprises in Jiangsu Province and conducting one-on-one in-depth business cooperation and docking.
