From February 8 to 10, 2025, Xia Baolong, Director of the Central Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office and Director of the State Council Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, conducted research in the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone in the Hetao area, the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Services Cooperation Zone, and Yantian Port. On the afternoon of the 9th, Xia Baolong visited the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cooperation Zone, inspected the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Dream Factory North District, and engaged in interactive exchanges with representatives of young entrepreneurs in the park. Wang Weizhong, Governor of Guangdong Province; Zhou Ji, Deputy Director of the Central Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office; Zheng Yanxiong, Director of the Central People's Government Liaison Office in Hong Kong; and Chen Maobo, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, also accompanied Xia Baolong on the research visit to Qianhai.
Dr. Xu Ke, founder and CEO of LaSense Technology, represented Hong Kong-Shenzhen technology startups in introducing to leaders such as Xia Baolong the process of Langs Technology's industry-academia-research collaboration in commercializing advanced laser spectroscopy research from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He reported on the company's consistent focus on the “dual-core development” strategy between Hong Kong and Shenzhen's Qianhai area in recent years, as well as its plans and objectives to apply laser online analysis technology across multiple industries and scenarios in the new development phase.
During his visit to the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cooperation Zone, Xia Baolong first visited the Qianhai Exhibition Hall to learn about the planning and construction of Qianhai, then inspected the Qianhai Joint Trading Center, the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Dream Factory, and the Shenzhen International Arbitration Court. He also engaged in in-depth discussions on Hong Kong's efforts to adapt to new circumstances, accelerate reforms to promote development, and further strengthen Guangdong-Hong Kong cooperation to better integrate into the Greater Bay Area.
