Tsinghua University Student Delegation Visits Lasense Sensing Technology to Discuss ESG and Technological Innovation

On January 16, the Tsinghua University Student Delegation Practice Team visited Lasense Sensing Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. under the theme of “Deep Green, Carbon-Neutral Journey,” touring the company's domestically produced laser analysis instrument series and discussing cutting-edge technologies and applications in environmental, energy, and ESG fields from their professional perspectives. Lasense Technology's Chief Scientist and Tsinghua University alumnus from the Class of 2002, Professor Ren Wei, and Lasense's Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Xu Ke, engaged in enthusiastic discussions with the Tsinghua University student delegation and demonstrated the industrial application outcomes of Lasense's laser spectroscopy online analysis technology in fields such as environmental monitoring and the energy industry.

A group of outstanding undergraduate students from Tsinghua University's departments of Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Polymer Science, and Precision Instrumentation formed a study tour delegation to Shenzhen. Adhering to the principle of balancing academic pursuit with practical experience, the delegation sought to understand ESG principles, explore pathways for corporate green and low-carbon transformation, and facilitate two-way exchange between Tsinghua University and technology companies. Driven by an interest in green energy transition and the role of digitalization in promoting low-carbon development, the Tsinghua practical team visited Langsi Technology to gain an in-depth understanding of how advanced laser spectroscopy technology enables precise measurements in environmental monitoring and ESG digitalization processes, as well as how it leverages its significant advantages of being “fast, accurate, and safe” in the energy sector.

During the sharing session at the beginning of the event, Dr. Xu Ke, CEO of Lasense Technology, introduced the company's founding philosophy to the visiting students. He explained that Lasense Technology is dedicated to using laser technology for precise measurement of material information, fully leveraging the “real-time, precise, and non-invasive” capabilities of laser spectroscopy. This represents a revolutionary change to the data lag and accuracy issues associated with traditional testing methods, which involve “sampling first, then sending samples for analysis.” Currently, laser sensing technology combined with AI and big data has already achieved real-time, efficient data acquisition and analysis in environmental monitoring and the energy industry. The laser-based technological revolution provides strong support for corporate ESG digitalization, industrial safety, cost reduction and efficiency improvement, as well as government decision-making and the entire society's transition to a low-carbon economy. Domestic high-precision laser analysis instruments developed by companies like Lasense Technology have overcome the limitations of imported equipment, such as high prices, slow after-sales service, and limited functionality, while also ensuring that core technologies remain under domestic control.

During the interactive discussion session, Professor Ren Wei, a senior alumnus from Tsinghua University, engaged in an in-depth exploration with the visiting students on the various applications of laser spectroscopy technology in fields such as environmental monitoring. He explained that laser technology offers high flexibility and adaptability in environmental monitoring methods. Its non-contact measurement capability enables it to operate stably in extreme environments (such as high temperatures, high pressures, or corrosive gases), while its high sensitivity allows it to detect minute changes. From point-source monitoring to regional coverage, and from static detection to dynamic tracking, laser technology can meet the complex needs of different industries and scenarios. This technology is not only a revolutionary tool for current environmental monitoring but also has significant potential for cross-domain migration and expansion, capable of providing stable, precise, and efficient solutions for future applications in various fields.

During the subsequent visit, the Tsinghua University delegation visited the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cooperation Zone, where Lasense Technology is located, to gain a deeper understanding of the achievements of the Greater Bay Area's integrated development and to experience the charm of the coastal technology town. The Tsinghua University students also brought Lasense Technology souvenirs featuring the university's campus, expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to participate in this academic exchange program. They expressed their hope that Lasense Technology and Tsinghua University will collaborate in more areas, such as scientific research and talent cultivation, in the future.

 

This exchange activity provided Tsinghua University students with an opportunity to explore from theory to practice, while also bringing new perspectives and insights to Lasense Technology's ESG applications. In the future, Lasense Technology aims to further expand the application boundaries of laser technology, continuously exploring its potential in fields such as the energy industry, smart manufacturing, smart agriculture, and smart cities.
